In this presentation, Lauren Paynter APRN, CNM discusses the role of a Nurse Midwife compared to various provider types, the impact midwives have on women, families, and communities, and the opportunities for growth in the United States.

Lauren Paynter APRN, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

Lauren Paynter is Certified Nurse Midwife who has focused her career on taking care of women and families. She believes in creating an experience that is tailored to a person’s individual preferences and health needs. She also wholeheartedly believes in empowering and educating her patients, so they are at the center of their own healthcare journey. Lauren attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a central Kentucky native, she has a passion for serving her community. After working as a labor and delivery nurse, emergency room nurse, and house supervisor in the community, she chose to seek the opportunity for greater growth and advance her career at Frontier Nursing University where she specialized in nurse midwifery. She studied the impact Nurse Midwives can have on women, families, and communities and has a special interest in improving health disparities and creating equal access to care for minority groups.
